This eliminates the down hill decent pump that makes the factory pinion housing very fragile due to the incorporation of the downhill decent pump. By eliminating this pump we were able to engineer a heavy duty billet aluminum housing that is virtually indestructible.The factory housing breaks most commonly when using 29.5″ or larger tires, however we have seen the housing still break with the use of smaller tires. Can also be installed without removing the differential from the frame.
